Sketching patterns II

Based upon the 16th Century, Saint Helena map. Observational sketches constructed directly from a computer screen. Made on paper scraps I accidentally didn’t account for the drawings scale and missing half the masts. The drawing continues onto another paper scrap to create a small collage drawing mural piece. The accident occurred as oil pastels are incredibly hard to sustain scale with, the marks are to bold. What is left though is an illusion of time passing, ships at anchor would have continually discreetly moved, the tones & colors changing depending on time of day.
