Milestone

Browsing the Eastern Kentucky University Milestone magazine (1985), an image caught my attention. The individual hovering over the pool table, focused & working hard to line up the shot. There is much drama within this one photograph, so much potential movement. The impact of the que to ball was what I tried to produce in this quick collage drawing sketch, using the transcription of ‘Weekends: Enjoy It!’ to draw the movement of the ball. A quick line drawing of the individual, over the top collaged sections from the digitized archive content. Finally, I just added bold marks to the work as it just lacked something, all this activity surrounding the individual. Yet they retained their determined focus on the game.
